Ken Giller’s research focuses on smallholder farming systems in sub-Saharan Africa, in particular on soil fertility and the role of nitrogen fixation in tropical legumes, and on sustainability issues related to perennial tree crops (namely cocoa, coffee and oil palm). Ken earlier held professorships at Wye College, University of London, and the University of Zimbabwe.
