With a diverse background, starting out as an environmental scientist before moving into private commercial and community forest management, as well as forest protected areas Beatrix spent 18 years delivering forest products, seafood and agricultural programmes at WWF. Since then, she has largely focused on agricultural commodities and currently heads up the markets work at IDH, focused on palm oil and soy. In her spare time, besides scrolling through her phone, she manages a fragment of ancient woodland (which she says seems to mainly involve litter picking), and a 400 square metre allotment, growing all sorts of stuff.
