James Ede

James joined Cargill in 2018. In his current role he is responsible for building sustainability partnerships with customers across food and bioindustrial categories.
He studied across the UK, in the areas of sustainability and agriculture. His career has principally focused on embedding sustainability within global agri systems and brands, through advising farmers, shaping public policies and building brand value sustainability impacts.
He has held a number of diverse roles across agri supply chain before joining Cargill, in the private/public sectors and trade associations. Prior to Cargill he held a position in Kellogg’s in sustainability. Roles before that include a National Park Ranger on Hadrian’s Wall, UK, a farm environmental adviser for the UK government and Assistant Director in the UK National Farmers’ Union office in Brussels, Belgium.
He lives in Brussels with his wife and twin boys, aged 8.
